God of Fire is one of the most limited production lines made by the famous Fuente Family in the Dominican Republic.
A joint effort between the industry’s top cigar maker (Fuente) and top accessory maker (Prometheus), the God of Fire is one of the rarest production cigars made by the Fuente Family. In an effort to outdo each other, father and son, Carlos and Carlito Fuente set out to make the best cigar they could, tailoring every aspect of the cigar from its size and blend to suit their respective tastes. The resulting blends are the core of the God of Fire line and are released in such small quantities that they rarely surface for sale. When they do, they sell out in a matter of days.
God of Fire is in stock now. Try one while supplies last.

 Gary J. Arzt
Janny Garcia Perez and her husband, Amilcar Perez, welcomed their third
child, and third son, on 4 September. The baby, Jacob, joins his older brothers
Joseph and Joshua.
When the baby was brought home, he was seen reaching for one of grandfather
Pepin Garcia's excellent cigars. A future tabaquero in the making, to continue
the tradition of Don Pepin and his uncle, Jaime Garcia.
Congratulations to Maria and Pepin Garcia, Janny and Amilcar and the whole
Garcia family.
Speaking of Pepin Garcia and a new baby, I hear that Pepin and Nestor Miranda,
of Miami Cigar & Company, are collaborating on something really special. Well,
I'll go a step further, since I've smoked it, and tell you it is something
really special! |

 Litto Gomez
Litto Gomez had been a liquor retailer, a pawnbroker and a jewelry store owner. He didn't have generations of Cuban tobacco growing and cigar making in his family. Hell, Litto isn't even Cuban. And yet, in 1994, Litto and his wife, Ines Lorenzo Gomez started La Flor Dominicana in Villa Gonzalez, DR and Premium Imports in Coral Gables Florida - to distribute their cigars.
Since then, La Flor Dominicana has established itself as a premier brand, known for their quality, consistency and innovation. They are one of only a handful of companies that started right before, or during, the 'cigar boom' of the '90s and not only remain in business, but have become a highly respected producer of fine premium cigars.
I was sitting and chatting with Litto in Coral Gables a few days ago, and the session took on a Q & A like tenor ... so, I decided to proceed with an interview.
I hope you'll find the results informative and enjoyable.

Red meat is big these days, especially with cigar smokers. And, any place
that has outdoor dining has my patronage; at least, once! Well, Prime Blue
Grille, a creation of 'expatriate' Smith & Wollensky executives has had it many,
many times. Dining on the terrace overlooking the entrance to the Miami River,
opposite Brickell Key, is dining at its best. And being greeted by Jamie
Zambrana, or any of his staff, is knowing hospitality at its best. |
