Freixenet may be best-known for its Spanish sparkling wines, but
their winemaker Sergio Traverso has a way with red wines as well. His
Terra Nova wines are fresh and easy-drinking - the Cabernet Sauvignon
makes a great party wine, festive and fruity. Its nose is aromatic, with
lots of berry aromas and a touch of plum and licorice. A touch of roast
coffee comes through on the palate as well. It's a medium-bodied wine,
with moderate tannins that balance well with the wine's flavors.
