Chile would be too warm for winegrowing if it weren't for the
country's unique shape, squeezed between the Andes and the Pacific
Ocean. Both the mountains and the sea provide cooling breezes which
moderate temperatures, contrasting warm days with cool nights - perfect
conditions for growing wine grapes. Jorge Coderch's Via brand uses these
conditions to its advantage to make a well-balanced, enjoyable Cabernet,
with blackberry and blackcurrant aromas touched off by hints of spice
and cedar. It's full-bodied, with soft tannins and a smooth finish.
