There are two traditions for Sauvignon Blanc: the light-bodied, crisp,
Loire Valley style, and the richer version that developed in Bordeaux,
with some oak-aging and occasionally some Semillon blended in. The
Wellington Vineyards take is of the latter school, a full-bodied wine
that will appeal to Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay drinkers alike.
Aromas include lemon, mango, vanilla, and clove, with a flinty
minerality; despite the creamy texture, the underlying acidity is still
crisp, making for a clean finish.
